Dead Frontier Update - Part 2

Alright, where were we...

Ah, right... I remember now. It's New Equipment.

3. New Equipment [like that's never enough... and expensive]

Yeah, with more ridiculous prices, too. These are some pictures taken while at the Credit Shop.

First up are my favorite weapon types, melee.

The Dual Blade looks like a medieval weapon. The Goretooth 44G is like the Ripper from Fallout, except more longer.

Next are the pistols. [or pistol]

The Doubleshot AAX is actually a Derringer, a small pocket pistol for protection. Looks vintage, too. Supposed to fit two bullets, but this is a game.

Next is the classic zombie killing weapon, shotguns. [again, or shotgun]

The Ace Barrel GZ3 is also another vintage weapon. Guess it's a single-shot shotgun. [say that three times fast] Just a heads up: the sword below is just cosmetic.

Now is time for the fun guns. The first one is rifles. [rifle...]

The Worg Carbine is [obviously] a carbine. Guess it's a recycled and junk-upgraded Scar-H. [or Scar-L, hard to tell]

Next on the fun guns list is the machine guns.

The Street Dog 99 is a SMG. Looks like an AKS-74U, but that's just a guess. The SCAR 9000 is not a Scar-H or Scar-L, though. It's kinda like a light version of the GAU-19 [go look it up] "9000"... I know of a good rename for this gun: "BFG 9000" [guess from which game?]

Now it's the godly weapon class in the game: explosives [more like only grenade launchers]

The Junker 6 is the junk-upgraded version of the RG-6. Surprisingly holds 24 instead of the usual 6.

Next is one of the most basic items: armor.

I can tell that the Shinobu Mesh is light armor, while the Tatakau Reactive is heavy armor. Tatakau Reactive has 50 more durability than the Steelcase Reactive.

And lastly, the clothing. Better than being naked, unless you like to be naked.

The new masks are the ones from the new armors as well, the Shinobu Mask and the Tatakau Mask. Placed a star on the Gas Mask 'cause it's my favorite.

There's actually more that I've missed, but I'll do them some other time. But you can check 'em out at DFWiki, or with the link down below.

The Armor and Clothing areas are still not updated [as of today]

I guess that's all of 'em. Will put up the others if I get the chance...

Dead Frontier Update

It's finally here...

Yeah, some updates have been implemented into the game prior two days ago. Thought they'll be out next year, ['cause y'know, Admin's usual delays] but it's good that I was wrong on this one.

Time to go through the updates.

1: New Outpost

Rumors have been spreading like wildfire about AdminPwn using the infamous "White Zone/Ground Zero" outpost. But sadly, it's not been used. [damn, looking forward for the Minigun Guards]

Things to mention first: It's mostly recommended that you're at least level 70.

Instead, it's a bunker, Secronom Bunker to be exact. It's kinda unique 'cause it's located in the new zone, and it's an actual bunker. Has about five guards, at least I think it might be five. Here's a screenshot on how it looks like in the game:

Reminds me of a movie that features such a bunker, but I can't recall the title.

It's pretty far, too. Took me 30 minutes to get there from Fort Pastor. ['cause I barely run] Who knows how long it'll take to get there from the other outposts...

Took a screenshot of the map, but will be better if it's a video instead.

Entrance is the first block to the left. Also a screenshot from Fort Pastor position.

The arrow on the top right is where Secronom Bunker is at. Lastly, the interior of the bunker [or menu screen]

It looks more like the interior of a typical building, but don't really cared about how it looks on the menu screen. If viewed from the big map, it should be at the top right corner, close to the end. [if the map is updated already]

2. Extended Inner City and New Enemies

The new outpost is [obviously] at the new extended areas of the map. And [also obviously again] there are new zombies there. Found some of them on the way to Secronom Bunker, but don't know if it's all of them.

First up: Zombie Dogs. [yep, you read that right] Better than Crows, at least. According to the DFWiki, their are called "Dog Zombies, Blood Dogs and Flesh Hounds"

This is the Blood Dog. Didn't took a screenie for the Dog Zombie, sorry 'bout that. Can actually be found at Fort Pastor [same goes for the normal type]

Movement: Fast
Health: Low [two crits from a sabre does the job]
View Range: Small [and I thought dogs have keen sense of smell]
Damage: ???
EXP: ???

Second are their bigger versions found at the "New Zone"

Need to start circling them, else you might not know where it is. Very big in size, but still quite scrawny, like the Bloaters.

Movement: Fucking Fast [more speed than Tendrils]
Health: Medium [just a 'lil health more than the blood dog]
View Range: Small
Damage: ???
EXP: ???
EXTRA: When they spot you, they'll immediately dash towards you [no rainbows, though]

Now comes the Long Armed Zombies. There are two new ones entering the family.

This one's just a darker and more deadlier version that the ones at the Black Zone. Oh, and they run faster AND have longer arms.

Movement: Very Fast [almost to Tendrils]
Health: Medium
View Range: Large
Damage: ???
EXP: ???

Now comes my favorite zombie from the 2D era: Green Long Armed Zombie [GLAZ]

Guess why that sign is there...

Movement: Very Fast [just a 'lil faster than the one above]
Health: High
View Range: Large
Damage: ???
EXP: ???
EXTRA: Vomits

Next is the two new Rumblers. Pretty much just different colors and more health/damage.

The one in the black ring is the dark version of the Rumblers at Black Zone. The one in the orange ring is the Irradiated Rumbler. Explosive sign equals...

Movement: Medium/Fast
Health: High/Very High
View Range: Large
Damage: High [the only one with damage indicated 'cause it exploded on me once]
EXP: ???
EXTRA: Explodes [green rumbler, explode radius is smaller than bloater]

One thing to mention about Green Rumblers, I think they explode when they are close to you, 'cause I died looting the top floor of a hospital just directly below of Secronom Bunker. In that case, we can start calling them "Suiciders" or "Kamikaze Zombies". Got that second one from a game, they shortened it too "kamizombies" instead.

There's also new bosses too. More at the wiki, and with link too if you're lazy.

Dead Frontier Bestiary

This post is getting long, so I'll post the other one [new equipment] later.

Be seeing y'all reeEEEAAAaaal soon.
